Privacy Policy
Last updated 20 October 2026
This policy explains what personal data Madeira Dreams by Dreams Come True (“we”, madeira-dreams.com) collects when you visit the site, book accommodation, a car or an activity, or contact us, and what we do with it.
1. Who is responsible
Madeira Dreams by Dreams Come True, Madeira, Portugal. Contact for any privacy question: dct.madeira@gmail.com or WhatsApp +351 939 277 830.
2. What we collect and why
Bookings and payments. Name, email, phone, travel dates, guest numbers and (for car rentals) a copy of your driving licence, used to confirm and perform your booking and to meet legal obligations. Card payments are handled by Stripe; we never see or store your card number.
Messages. If you contact us by WhatsApp, email or the “Ask a question” button, we use what you send to answer you and manage your stay.
Site usage. With your consent, we use Google Analytics, Google Ads and Microsoft Clarity to understand how the site is used and how our ads perform (pages viewed, device type, approximate location, referral source). We also keep a small internal log of booking-funnel steps (for example, dates viewed) with your IP address and device type, used only to improve the site and spot errors.
3. Cookies
Analytics and advertising cookies are only set after you accept them in the cookie banner, and you can change your choice at any time by clearing your browser cookies for this site.
4. Who we share data with
Only service providers needed to run the business: Stripe (payments), our hosting provider Cloudflare, email and WhatsApp messaging providers, cleaning and property-management staff (guest name, dates and guest count only), and Google and Microsoft for analytics and advertising. We do not sell personal data.
5. Google user data
The site's admin area connects to the site owner's own Google Search Console and Google Ads accounts to show search and advertising performance. This uses read and campaign-management access to the owner's own accounts only. No visitor or guest data is obtained through this connection, and Google account data is never shared with third parties or used for any other purpose.
6. How long we keep data
Booking and invoicing records are kept for as long as Portuguese tax and accounting law requires. Driving-licence copies are kept only as long as needed for the rental and legal compliance. Analytics data is kept in line with the providers' standard retention periods.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us to access, correct or delete your data, restrict or object to its use, or receive a copy of it. Write to the contact above. You also have the right to complain to the Portuguese data protection authority (CNPD).
8. Changes
We may update this policy; the date at the top shows the latest version.
